The NIDC intends to be a place for meetings and thoughts that put together anyone interested in promoting freedom of opinion, Press, Freedom of speech, means and techniques of communication and by studying their challenges and impact in changing the society: Journalists, Communications specialists, Public Relations specialists, researchers, sociologists, archivist, artists, computer scientists, technicians, engineers, industrials ...

Its objectives are:

•Contribute and promote the Freedom of opinion, the Press and speech values
•Strengthen links between individuals and institutions by offering them a place where to meet and exchange
•Contribute to the development of Science and communication techniques
•The use of new technologies in order to ensure the development, preservation, authenticity and enrichment of cultural values
•Contribute to the development of reflection, research and legislation in the fields of Communication
•Develop cooperation with similar organizations at international and regional levels
Respect and protect the right of freedom of speech in accordance with international treaties on human rights requirements and the establishment of an observatory on the subjects of the Freedom of opinion, the Press, the right of speech regarding the information issues, communication and ICT.

Publish regular newsletters on the activities of the institute. These newsletters will be followed by a review which will, at the same time, the echo of the institute and will also provide a forum for a variety of authors to speak on fundamental studies or news topics.


Cultural and creative industries

New technologies have brought significant changes in the processes of creation, production and dissemination of cultural works: new forms of artistic creation, video on demand, digital books, online music. These changes have impacts both in developed countries than in developing countries, where the rapid deployment of mobile telephony and broadband Internet profoundly modifies and expands access to culture. The issue of Internet offers new opportunities for the development of cultural and creative industries, as well as that of the defense of cultural diversity and copyright in this new environment are priorities for our institution.

The economic stakes and influence

Cultural and creative industries, whose exports generate considerable income, also contribute much to the development of tourism. States and professional sectors have joined forces to support exports of cultural goods and services, including through specialized bodies.
